Airlines, for June of 2008, were on-time 70.8 percent of the time. This is a good drop from May, which had nationwide flights on-time 79% of the time. However the number is up from June of last year (68.1%). Hawaiian airlines lead the pack, on-time 92.2% of the time. (Not a surprise for a carrier that has relatively good weather).
It’s good to see that airlines are getting better from last year, however 70.8 % is still pretty low, and I think that with the capacity cuts that are due, we’ll see airlines’ on-time performance percentages jump.
